Oiol Festival Cancelled

Dear GDAF Board members, Staff, International Coordinators and stakeholders

On behalf of GDAF, the board and myself, we are emailing regretfully to inform you that due to Coronavirus, many teachers, artists, presenters and employees are not allowed by their schools or universities and companies to travel for the Oiol Festival in July 2020.

GDAF and Cinesourds have made a decision not to have the festival on Gallaudet University Campus to protect their staff and students. This forces the Oiol Festival, originally scheduled for July 9th, 10th, 11th & 12th, 2020 is cancelled. Due to the growing concerns of people involved in the festival (benefactors, attendees, staff, artists…) and DC’s Mayor Bowser's declaration of a public health emergency, the team made the difficult decision to cancel the festival.

We want to thank you so much for your support especially Gallaudet University and will work closely with you all to keep posted as partners of GDAF and Cinesourds.
